Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective playable demo available on Steam

May 13, 2021 by Andrew Newton

As part of the Digital Dragons Indie Celebration on Steam, Pixmain and indie developer Darjeeling have provided a free two-level playable demo of Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective.  For today and tomorrow only, fans of adventure puzzlers can download this demo and take control of young detective Pierre in the game’s first two levels.

Based on the children’s book, players take control of Pierre as he investigates the theft of a magical artefact from the Opera City Museum by Pierre’s sworn enemy, Mr. X.  This artefact has the otherworldly power to turn everything around it into a labyrinth but fortunately Pierre is an expert at mazes and puzzles and is not bothered how many mazes he must journey through to retrieve the magical stone.

As Pierre, players will be able to explore a visually stunning universe filled with adorable and hilarious characters, travelling works of art and a wide variety of fascinating locations, including the museum, the city streets, a castle in the sky, a haunted mansion and more.

Featuring:

  • Over 100 hidden objects and unique trophies to discover.
  • More than 500 interactions possible with the characters, items, and background.
  • Each scene is based on a double-page illustration from the best-selling books.
  • Engaging puzzles and minigames to stimulate your brain.
  • An original soundtrack.

The first two levels of Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective are available to play in the playable demo on Steam today and tomorrow.

Look out for Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective arriving on PC, Nintendo Switch and mobiles later this year.
