Latest 7 Days to Die Alpha 17 video details Perception perks

October 16, 2018 by Andrew Newton

The latest Alpha 17 development video for 7 Days to Die provides a closer look at the Perception perks coming with the eagerly awaited Alpha 17.  As usual, Joel Huenink (aka Madmole) talks us through these new features.  You can see the new video below…

Placing experience points into perks is having a bit of a revamp in Alpha 17 and Perception will definitely be something you’ll want to invest points in to help get rid of all those pesky zombies.

Perception is an essential perk for using any type of range weapon from bows and arrows to shotguns and the revamped perks all provide relevant increases to the various weapons.  Investing in the Gunslinger perk will reward players with an increase in fire rate and a decrease in reload times for those who love to use hand guns like pistols and Magnums, while the Archery perk will provide faster aiming, reloading and draw times for those using bows and crossbows.  With the Archery perk, there are plans to introduce a cripple effect for shooting opponents (zombie or otherwise) in the legs.

None weapon perks include Lucky Looter, which will provide faster looting times and an increase in loot quality, and Salvage Operations which will decrease wrenching times while increasing the amount of resources we get from scrapping items.

Also, if you like knocking zombies to the floor then get ready for them getting back up a lot quicker.

Leave a comment below and let us know if you like these changes to the perks.
