LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight launches pre-orders with new trailer

December 12, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Warner Bros. Games and TT Games’ LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will launch on 29th May 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store). In the meantime, pre-orders are available for the Standard and Deluxe Editions of the game. The Nintendo Switch 2 release date will be announced at a later date but is currently available to wishlist. A new trailer can be seen below, providing a peek at some of the playable characters and DC Super-Villains that players will encounter…

Next May, join the Caped Crusader and his friends in the fight to save Gotham City. Defend the streets as Batman, Robin, Nightwing with his Battle Staff, Batgirl with her Hackarang, Catwoman with her loyal kitty companion, Jim Gordon, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul, and use their unique abilities, combos and gadgets to take down the villains.

This upcoming LEGO Batman game will see players take on DC Super-Villains, including Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Firefly, Ra’s al Ghul, and Mr. Freeze, as well as firm fan-favourite baddies The Joker, The Penguin, and Bane.

Players will have a huge selection of outfits to choose from for every playable character, with an assortment of different Batsuits inspired from Batman films, comics, TV series and games. There will also be more than 20 different vehicles to choose from, including the legendary Tumbler. Plus, in the trailer you can get a quick look at the Batmobile from Batman: The Animated Series and Batpod from The Dark Knight films.

Those who pre-order the Standard Edition of the game will receive The Dark Knight Returns Batsuit (at launch), inspired by the comic book series, while those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will receive 72-hour early access to the game as well as The Dark Knight Returns Batsuit.

The Deluxe Edition will also include the Legacy Collection at launch, which includes several themed content packs, and the Mayhem Collection, which will arrive in September 2026 and include a new mode with new playable characters, a new story mission, new outfits and much more.

Pre-order LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight now and get ready for some classic TT Games/ LEGO humour.
