LEGO pays tribute to classic Cheetah cover with limited edition Wonder Woman set

LEGO has unveiled a new LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes set at yesterday’s DC FanDome which is inspired by the classic Wonder Woman #6 comic book cover from 1943 and features Diana doing battle with her arch-nemesis Cheetah. The 255-piece set is available in the US only, and can be pre-ordered now at Walmart and Shop@Home, priced at $39.99.

LEGO® DC Wonder Woman™ (77906) brings together 3 classic characters from the Wonder Woman comic book in a buildable, play-and-display action scene. Hands-on Wonder Woman display set Superhero fans of any age can build their own recreation of a superhero battle between Wonder Woman™ and Cheetah™ – as seen on the cover of the classic Wonder Woman comic. As the model features the same iconic characters as the Wonder Woman 1984 movie – Wonder Woman and Cheetah – it’s also the ideal gift for fans of the blockbuster movie. Wonder Woman 1984 reunites Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins with stars Gal Gadot (Diana Prince), Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), Ewen Bremner (Charlie), Said Taghmaoui (Sameer), Connie Nielsen (Queen Hippolyta), Robin Wright (General Antiope), Lisa Loven Kongsli (Menalippe), Doutzen Kroes (Venelia) and new additions Kristen Wiig (Ghostbusters) as Barbara Ann Minerva/Cheetah, Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) as Maxwell Lord, and Natasha Rothwell (Love, Simon), Ravi Patel (Master of None, Grandfathered) and Gabriella Wilde (Doctor Who, Poldark) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
