LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga gets April release date and new gameplay trailer

January 21, 2022 by Andrew Newton

Warner Bros. Games, TT Games and Lucasfilm Games have released a brand new gameplay overview trailer for their upcoming LEGO game, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.  The game, set to arrive on PC and consoles on 5th April, will be the biggest LEGO Star Wars game to date and feature a wide range of characters and character classes, a huge galaxy to explore and more.  See more in the new trailer below…

In LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga players will be able to experience battles in a completely unique way by stringing different attacks together to create combo chains.  Players can also master new controls and mechanics that will allow them to go into battle with blaster or lightsaber.

A huge galaxy will be available to explore and this can be navigated with help from the Holoprojector. As players progress through the story they will unlock planets which are all added to their holoprojector star chart.  While travelling through space, galactic heroes may engage in dog fights and pilot legendary vessels such as theMillennium Falcon, X-Wings and TIE Fighters.

Exploring these new worlds will uncover side missions and puzzles which will reward players with Kyber Bricks that can be used to unlock new features and upgraded abilities of a range of character classes, including Jedi, Hero, Dark Side, Villain, Scavenger, Scoundrel, Bounty Hunter, Astromech Droid and Protocol Droid.  There’s also more than 300 characters available from all nine films, including Leia, Yoda and Chewy.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga can be pre-ordered digitally now with those doing so receiving early access to the Trooper Character Pack on launch day. This pack will release a month after launch for non-preorders.  Digital purchasers will also be able to unlock classic Obi-Wan Kenobi.  The physical version of the Deluxe Edition will an exclusive LEGO Star Wars minifigure, Luke Skywalker with Blue Milk.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will release on April 5th.
