Wired Productions and Camel 101 have released the demo for their Lovecraft-inspired survival FPS Beneath on Steam ahead of it featuring in the upcoming Steam Next Fest. Enjoy scarce ammo, merciless enemies and an unapologetically tough story-driven campaign. A brief trailer can be seen below featuring a custom Black Razor Records track by Street Grease…
Founded by two brothers, Beneath promises to be an incredibly tough story-driven single-player campaign for those with a love of a challenge.
Taking the role of seasoned diver Noah Quinn, players will embark on a routine expedition that turns into complete chaos when he becomes trapped in the gloomy depths of the Ivanov research Station. Surrounded by ancient evil and with supplies dwindling, players must take on nightmarish creatures in an effort to unravel a sinister conspiracy that threatens humanity itself.
Players will face a terrifying variety of enemies, from ruthless soldiers to mutated Lovecraftian abominations, with limited ammunition and supplies. It will be up to players to upgrade their arsenal and use environmental hazards wisely if they want Noah Quinn to survive. This eldritch realm will affect Quinn’s sanity, making him more susceptible to the onslaught from the monstrosities.
Featuring:
- Old-school FPS horror by two brothers with a passion for the genre.
- Survive ruthless soldiers and unearthly horrors.
- Make use of a variety of upgradable weaponry in destructible environments.
- Maintain sanity against the nightmarish visions.
- Explore the research station, recover emails, PDAs, and survivor accounts to reveal a dark conspiracy.
The new demo for Beneath is available on Steam now.
