Lyndsy Fonseca Joins Marvel’s Agent Carter

October 24, 2014 by Thomas Roach

Lyndsy Fonseca (Kick-Ass) has joined the cast of Marvel’s Agent Carter. She is set to play Angie Martinelli, who is described as “an aspiring actress who befriends Peggy.”

Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb said: “Marvel’s Agent Carter opens up an exciting world of new characters for us. Lyndsy brings a warmth and humanity to Angie, who’ll be the friend Peggy needs if she’s to survive the dangers that lie ahead.”

Marvel has been increasing its television output since the first season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., with Agent Carter arriving in January and Daredevil exclusively hitting Netlfix in May.

Agent Carter will air during the midseason break of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., with a cast that includes Marvel veterans Hayley Atwell and Dominic Cooper as Peggy Carter and Howard Stark alongside Shea Whigham (Boardwalk Empire) as Roger Dooley, Enver Gjokaj (Dollhouse) as Agent Daniel Sousa, Chad Michael Murray (One Tree Hill) as Agent Jack Thompson and James D’Arcy (Let’s Be Cops) as Jarvis.
