Malese Jow cast as Linda Park in The Flash

October 28, 2014 by Gary Collinson

It looks like Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen is set for a new love interest in The Flash, with The Hollywood Reporter revealing that Malese Jow (The Vampire Diaries, Star-Crossed) is set to play Linda Park, “a quick-witted reporter for the Central City Picture News. She befriends Iris (Candice Patton) while at work and helps her navigate the fast-paced world of journalism. When she meets Barry Allen at a local bar, the two hit it off and become quick friends. ”

If the name Linda Park is familiar, it’s because she’s a long-serving character from The Flash comic books, who made her debut in The Flash #28 as the girlfriend – and future wife – of Wally West (a.k.a. Kid Flash, and the third character to operate as The Flash). As it happens, the producers of The Flash have teased the introduction of Wally West at some point in the series, so perhaps this is the first step on that road…

The Flash airs on The CW on Tuesday nights.
