Mark Hamill and Bert Kreischer take on the Russian Mafia in The Machine red band trailer

Based on a viral stand-up routine delivered by Bert Kreischer, Sony Screen Gems has dropped the red-band trailer for mobster-comedy The Machine.

Starring the comedian as a man who has to face up to his behaviour from a semester in Russia over two-decades ago, a past which which puts him face-to-face with a murderous mobster (Iva Babić) hellbent on kidnapping Bert in order to take him back to the motherland to atone for his crimes. Together, he and his father (Hamill) must retrace the steps of his younger self (Jimmy Tatro) in the midst of a war between a sociopathic crime family while they attempt to find common ground. Directed by Keanu‘s Peter Atencio, The Machine stars Bert Kreischer, Mark Hamill, Jimmy Tatro, Iva Babić, Robert Maaser, Stephanie Kurtzuba, Jessica Gabor, Rita Bernard Shaw, Nikola Đuričko, Oleg Taktarov, Amelie Villers, and Mercedes de la Cruz.

The Machine opens in US theatres on May 25th, 2023.
