Married… With Children spin-off show in the works

September 14, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Almost to twenty years after Married… With Children ended its run, the stars of the classic FOX sitcom – Ed O’Neill, Katey Sagal, Christina Applegate and David Faustino – reunited in L.A. last week as Sagal was presented with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and now it is being reported that a spin-off show could be in the works.

According to E!Online, Sony Pictures Television is preparing a pitch for a spin-off series that would revolve around Faustino’s Bud Bundy, the youngest member of the dysfunctional Bundy clan. No futher details are available, but Applegate did seem to confirm the news, stating that: “We’re going to do something with Dave maybe… But I don’t really know. I don’t know what that’s going to be. I don’t know if I’m allowed to speak on that at all. So I should probably stop talking about it right now!”

Married… With Children was created by Michael G. Moye and Ron Leavitt and ran for eleven seasons on FOX between 1987 and 1997.
