With production now underway on Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman, the first set photos from the mob epic have arrived online, which feature the legendary filmmaker alongside Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci – marking the first time the three have worked together since 1995’s Casino, and Pesci’s first outing since 2010’s Love Ranch. The film is based upon the book I Heard You Paint Houses by Charles Brandt and follows mob hitman Frank ‘The Irishman’ Sheeran, who claimed on his deathbed to have been responsible for the murder of Teamsters leader Jimmy Hoffa. The movie will span several decades, employing CGI to digitally de-age its cast members.

The Irishman is slated for release in 2019, and sees De Niro and Pesci joined in the cast by Al Pacino, Harvey Keitel, Bobby Cannavale, Jack Huston, Stephen Graham, Ray Romano, Kathrine Narducci and Danny A. Abeckaser.
