Humans in conflict with monstrous beasts is a tale that goes back to our hunter-gatherer days. We have this instinctual fear of behemoths: predators who would love to make us their prey should the opportunity arise.

Horror movies have capitalized on that fervor, particularly among the B-sect where the majority of the shoestring budget is thrown towards the costumes and special effects for the feral beings in question. The result is a mediocre film that is ultimately elevated thanks to the bestial antagonist!
