Marvel’s What If…? Sakaarian Iron Man sixth scale figure unveiled by Hot Toys

December 29, 2023 by Amie Cranswick

Sideshow and Hot Toys have unveiled the sixth scale Sakaarian Iron Man figure inspired by the appearance of Tony Stark’s armor design from the season two episode of Marvel’s What If…?, “What If… Iron Man Crashed into the Grandmaster?”. It is available to pre-order now, priced at $495; check out the promotional images here…

In the Marvel Studios’ What If…? animated series, Tony Stark’s character continues beyond Iron Man Mark LXXXV from Avengers: Endgame and takes on a different path in an alternate reality as Sakaarian Iron Man. The armor combines the iconic character of Iron Man with the unique setting and aesthetic of Sakaar, a planet renowned for its gladiatorial games and diverse alien population. This fusion created a distinctive portrayal of Iron Man.

Sideshow and Hot Toys are expanding on the multiverse concept and offering fans an opportunity to experience new and imaginative variations of beloved characters. Presenting to fans the Sakaarian Iron Man sixth scale figure as a visually striking Marvel collectible figure from the What If…? collection.

Skillfully crafted based on the appearance of Sakaarian Iron Man, the one-sixth scale figure stands 36cm in height, features Tony Stark’s head sculpt with magnetic LED light-up face armor. The intricate armor designs, inspired by the planet’s culture, further enhance the visual appeal of the figure. Vibrant colors and tribal influences contribute to the unique and striking appearance of Sakaarian Iron Man. This interpretation of Iron Man could feature modifications and upgrades specific to Sakaar, adapting to the challenges and conditions of the planet.

Season two of Marvel’s What If…? sees Jeffrey Wright returning to lend his voice to The Watcher alongside Hayley Atwell (Captain Carter), Josh Keaton (Steve Rogers), Lake Bell (Black Widow), Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes), Rachel Weisz (Melina Vostokoff), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Cynthia McWilliams (Gamora), Mick Wingert (Tony Stark), Jeff Goldblum (The Grandmaster), Taika Waititi (Korg), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Josh Brolin (Thanos), Kurt Russell (Ego), Michael Rooker (Yondu), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Michael Douglas (Hank Pym), Evangeline Lilly (Hope Van Dyne), Cate Blanchett (Hela), Laurence Fishburne (Bill Foster), Annette Bening (Mar-Vell) and Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury).

Marvel’s What If…? streams on Disney+.
