Antonio Jaramillo cast in Sons of Anarchy spin-off Mayans MC

February 28, 2017 by Ricky Church

The last couple of weeks have seen several actors joining Mayans MC, most recently JD Pardo in the lead role, and now FX has announced another actor in their Sons of Anarchy spin-off.

Antonio Jarmillo (Shades of Blue) has joined Mayans MC as Michael ‘Riz’ Ariza, the Vice President of the Mayans MC Santo Padre and former leader of a local Mexican MC.

Mayans MC takes place after Sons of Anarchy and sees Pardo’s Ezekiel ‘EZ’ Reyes (Pardo) on a question for vengeance after his chance to live his American dream came crashing down thanks to cartel violence. The gifted son of a Latino family, his anger and need for revenge has driven him to a life he never wanted. Ariza is described as using his charm to mask his distrust and resentment of those around him to get what he wants.

Jaramillo also joins John Ortiz, Clayton Cardenas and Edward James Olmos in the series. Mayans MC was created by Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter, who is executive producing the new show as well as direct the pilot, and Elgin James.
