MCU plans for X-Men and the Fantastic Four have been “fun” says Kevin Feige, but it’s still early days

June 20, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, has revealed that its still early days when it comes to their plans for the X-Men and Fantastic Four but it has been a fun process so far.

The biggest news coming out of Disney’s purchase of 20th Century Fox is, of course, the X-Men and Fantastic Four being able to join the MCU. But how are Marvel’s plans for their introduction going?

Well, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has told Fandango that it’s still in the early stages but they are having a good time figuring it all out: “It’s still early days, but it’s been a fun exercise, and it’s one, by the way, that we’ve been doing for years. Every development meeting starts with cool ideas and fun ideas, and our wheels are always turning in terms of what if… to use a Marvel publishing term. What if we did this? What if we did that? What if we had access to such and such characters? That’s how Spider-Man: Homecoming came together in the first place, and it’s fun to now be in this position with the Fox characters, too, because if we come up with a great ‘What If’ we can actually do it.”

There certainly is tremendous potential here with these new characters and hopefully, fans of the MCU won’t have to wait too long to see these plans come into action.
