Meet the main characters in NIS America’s upcoming RPG Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk

April 29, 2018 by Andrew Newton

NIS America have revealed details of the three main characters in their upcoming RPG Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk which will be available for the Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4 this autumn in Europe and Australia.  Developed by Nippon Ichi, this RPG sees players become the living book Tractatus de Monstrum and command a unit of puppet soldiers through the Labyrinth of Refrain.

Each of these three characters have important roles to play in the story but perhaps the most important is the Tractatus de Monstrum.  Tractatus is a legendary living book controlled by the player and legend states that it was written by the only person to have been brave, clever and lucky enough to survive the Labyrinth.  As Tractatus de Monstrum players will control Dronya’s puppet soldiers into the labyrinth to discover its secrets.

Dusk Witch Dronya is the raven haired royal court witch who serves the Haltz Kingdom.  Dronya has come to the town of Refrain to explore the labyrinth that lies beneath its streets although nobody knows her reasons for wanting to do so.

Finally, Luca is Dronya’s young apprentice and traveling companion.  Not only is she capable of the variety of tasks that Dronya calls upon her to do she also personally handcrafts each puppet soldier that Dronya sends down into the labyrinth.

Expect to be able to meet these characters in Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk this autumn on Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
