With Zooey Deschanel away on maternity leave, ABC has announced that Megan Fox is joining the fifth season of the hit sitcom New Girl. Fox is set for a recurring role as Reagan, and will make her first appearance in the sixth episode of the season, which gets underway in January.
Created by Liz Meriwether, New Girl stars Deschanel alongsie the likes of Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield, Hannah Simone and Lamorne Morris, and has boasted an impressive array fo guest stars including Jamie Lee Curtis, Rob Reiner, Prince, Olivia Munn, Josh Gad and Lizzy Caplan.
