A new poster has arrived online for the biographical drama The Professor and the Madman featuring Mel Gibson as Professor James Murray and Sean Penn as Dr. W. C. Minor, two key figures in the creation of the Oxford English Dictionary.

Although the film is yet to receive an official synopsis, the blurb for the book reads:
The making of the Oxford English Dictionary was one of the most ambitious projects ever undertaken. As definitions were collected, the overseeing committee, led by Professor James Murray, was stunned to discover that one man, Dr. W. C. Minor, had submitted more than ten thousand. But their surprise would pale in comparison to what they were about to discover when the committee insisted on honoring him. For Dr. Minor, an American Civil War veteran, was also an inmate at an asylum for the criminally insane.
The Professor and the Madman features a cast that also includes Natalie Dormer (Game of thrones), Ioan Gruffudd (Forever), Jeremy Irvine (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again), Steve Coogan (Stan & Ollie), Laurence Fox (Lewis) and Jennifer Ehle (The Miseducation of Cameron Post).
