Michael Rooker reuniting with James Gunn on The Belko Experiment

May 23, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Well this won’t come as a surprise, but James Gunn has announced that he’s reuniting with Michael Rooker for his newest project, horror-thriller The Belko Experiment.

“Rooker plays Bud Melks, the head of maintenance in the Belko building. He’s not a racist thug like Merle in The Walking Dead, and he doesn’t have a flying arrow like Yondu in Guardians of the Galaxy – in fact, he’s a pretty nice guy – so he’s ill-equipped to deal with the mysterious forces who start making all of the employees in Belko start killing each other unless they want to be killed themselves,” states Gunn on Facebook.

The Belko Experiment has been scripted by Gunn and will be directed by Greg McLean (Wolf Creek), with Rooker joining a cast that so far includes John Gallagher Jr. (The Newsroom), John C. McGinley (Scrubs), Tony Goldwyn (Scandal) and Melonie Diaz (Fruitvale Station).
