Mordfield Command demo lets players begin to reclaim the Earth from AI

February 8, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Indie developer Software Verde has released a demo for their tactical strategy title Mordfield Command.  This new demo will allow players to experience the AI enemy they will be facing in their fight for the Earth.  A new trailer can be seen below…

Mordfield Command takes players to a futuristic world where artificial intelligence has become hostile and devastated humanity. As one of the last commanders alive, players must build up their forces and lead them into battle against an onslaught of robots determined to wipe out the last remnants of human resistance.  Defeat the robots, destroy the AI and reclaim the Earth.

In order to defeat the AI, players will have to allocate their resources between developing your economy and growing your military.  Players can build their base, expand it and create satellite outposts.

The new demo will allow players to experience 75 turns of action and strategy in their fight against the AI.  The demo also features:

  • Command resistance forces by commanding your forces in battle through timed vs untimed rounds.
  • Procedurally generated battlefields, no two battles will ever be the same.
  • Build and train an army that matches your preferred style using numerous choices for selection of forces.
  • Create satellite outposts to help manage and defend the region.
  • Every move players make will take humanity closer to survival or extinction.
  • An Operations mode designed to challenge players with focused, strategic mini-missions, with each providing a different scenario with different goals.
  • One resource with which to build units with.

The Mordfield Command demo is available now on Steam.
