Movie adaptations announced for sci-fi novels Elusion & Tomorrow and Tomorrow

July 31, 2013 by admin

The film rights for two upcoming sci-fi novels have been acquired and they are set to be adapted for the big screen. FlynnPictureCo. and Silver Reel have reportedly acquired the rights to Claudia Gabel and Cheryl Klam’s sci-fi thriller/teen romance Elusion. The first in a series, it follows two teens who can travel to virtual worlds while under hypnosis and discover there’s more happening than they first thought. The book is expected to be out in March 2014 and the film is due to be released in cinemas in 2015.

The other sci-fi novel is Thomas Sweterlitsch‘s Tomorrow and Tomorrow, which is set to be published next summer and has been acquired by Sony Pictures. Noah Oppenheim (The Maze Runner) is adapting the script, and Film 360 will produce with the Mark Gordon Company. Set ten years after the destruction of Pittsburgh, the story follows a survivor who discovers a scandalous cover-up regarding the city’s demise as he works as an archivist, creating a digital reproduction of the area.
