Maggie, Negan and Lucille are back in The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2 trailer

July 27, 2024 by Amie Cranswick

As part of yesterday’s Walking Dead Universe panel at San Diego Comic-Con, AMC unveiled the first teaser trailer for the second season of the zombie drama spinoff series The Walking Dead: Dead City which sees Maggie (Lauren Cohan) travel through the dangerous streets of Manhattan to save her former foe Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), as Negan finds himself reunited with his signature leather jacket and his beloved barbed wired baseball bat Lucille.

It was also revealed during the panel that Cohan and Morgan will be joined by several new additions for the second season, including Keir Gilchrist (It Follows), Dascha Polanco (Orange Is the New Black), Jake Weary (How to Blow Up a Pipeline), and Pooya Mohseni (See You Then). The Walking Dead: Dead City follows fan-favorite characters Maggie (Cohan) and Negan (Morgan) as they travel into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan, long ago cut off from the mainland. The crumbling city is filled with the dead and denizens who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror. In Season 2, in the growing war for control of Manhattan, Maggie and Negan find themselves trapped on opposite sides. As their paths intertwine, they come to see that the way out for both is more complicated and harrowing than they ever imagined.

The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2 is coming in 2025.
