Netflix’s Devil May Cry anime series gets teaser trailer

From Capcom, led by Adi Shankar and animated by Studio Mir, comes Devil May Cry, a Netflix animated series based on the hit video game franchise.


Per a voiceover in the teaser: “This guy, he’s something else. The way he moves. The hits he took. His name: Dante. We first glimpse the half-human, half-demon devil hunter for hire with his magic sword, Rebellion, and dual-wielded pistols, Ebony & Ivory. Alex Larsen will pen the series, and the first season will have eight episodes.

Released Thursday during Netflix’s Geeked Week 2024 showcase, hosted by Joe Manganiello, the preview fans have been waiting for is shaping up to be a memorable experience. The Devil May Cry series was first announced last year and will be heading to streaming next year.

There’s no word on who will star in the series, but we’ll learn more in the coming months. Stay tuned to Flickering Myth for more news on what’s to come with Devil May Cry. Dante had delighted fans, but the countdown to Vergil’s arrival has fans foaming.

The eight-episode series will premiere in April 2025 on Netflix.
