New image of Michael Myers from Halloween Kills

January 21, 2021 by Amie Cranswick

Empire has shared a new image from this year’s horror sequel Halloween Kills which sees the masked killer Michael Myers making his escape from the burning wreckage of Laurie Strode’s home following the events of the 2018 movie.

“This film is about community fear, paranoia, misinformation and crowd panic, this movie is a great popcorn genre movie and not really any kind of statement, but it’s strange how things line up,” said returning director David Gordon Green with regards to the sequel’s ‘timely’ themes. “It couldn’t be a more interesting time to release a movie like this.”

SEE ALSO: Halloween Kills receives an R rating for “strong bloody violence throughout”

Halloween Kills is directed by David Gordon Green from a script by Green and Danny McBride and sees Jamie Lee Curtis (Laurie Strode) Judy Greer (Karen), Andi Matichak (Allyson), Jibrail Nantambu (Julian), Kyle Richards (Lindsey Wallace), Nancy Stephens (Nurse Marion), Charles Cyphers (Sheriff Brackett) and Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney (The Shape) all reprising their roles, while new additions to the series include Anthony Michael Hall (The Dead Zone) as Tommy Doyle, and Robert Longstreet (The Haunting of Hill House) as Lonnie Elam.

Halloween Kills is currently scheduled to release on October 15th, 2021.
