New LEGO adventure puzzler LEGO Bricktales announced

March 26, 2022 by Andrew Newton

Thunderful and The LEGO Group have announced their new digital LEGO adventure LEGO Bricktales.  Developed by Clockstone (the peeps responsible for the acclaimed Bridge Constructor series) LEGO Bricktales will take players through a colourful world built completely from LEGO bricks.  Watch the new announcement trailer below…

A charming and captivating storyline will lead players across 5 different LEGO themed biomes where players will be encouraged to unlock their creativity and imagination to find solutions to the many puzzles that each area holds.  A dense tropical jungle, a sun-drenched desert, busy city street, a medieval tower and a sun-kissed Caribbean island await players and each is filled with secrets, challenges and fun characters to meet and interact with.

Throughout the players’ journey there will be LEGO minifigs to meet who will need help to accomplish a task or have a problem solved, these provide excellent opportunities for players to unlock new skills.  Each area also features a  variety of construction spots with their own sets of bricks and it is up to players to build what they think will work using those bricks.  Whatever the objective, whether it is building a crane, gyrocopter or marketplace, it is up to the player to choose how and what they build.

“With LEGO Bricktales, we’ve made it our mission to tap into what it is that makes LEGO play so special. Our intuitive brick-by-brick building mechanic allows players to engage with LEGO bricks in a video game the same way the toys have been inspiring people’s imagination and creativity for decades.” said Dieter Schoeller, Vice-President of Publishing at Thunderful.

“Everyone loves LEGO Bricks, and we are no exception, so we couldn’t be happier to get the chance to work on a LEGO videogame,” said Tri Do Dinh, Game Designer at Clockstone. “We hope you enjoy this first look at LEGO Bricktales and will have a great time diving into the game’s story, sandbox mode, unlockable abilities and much more!”

Look out for more news on LEGO Bricktales coming soon.
