New update for Endzone 2 brings education to the post-apocalyptic world

March 1, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Assemble Entertainment and Gently Mad Studio have released a new update for their post-apocalyptic colony builder Endzone 2, which is available now on Steam Early Access.  This latest update brings education and bulletin boards to those wanting to take humanity back into the wasteland.  Watch the new trailer for an overview of this new update.

This latest update for Endzone 2 features provisions for settlement builders to create their very own education system and help develop the next generation of survivors.  The arrival of schools will provide a place where children will be able to go and learn the skills with which to continue the prosperity of the settlement.

With education comes the requirement for copious amounts of paper, and this leads us to the need for paper mills, which in turn require the new reed crop to be grown near swamplands. Both of these provide new places for settlers to work.  There are also new badges that players can earn to affect the productivity of their zones.

A new Bulletin Board is also available, this is in the form of a blackboard situated in the centre of town.  This new feature will allow players to easily access new missions and in-game events.

The new update also introduces underground expeditions, allowing players to explore subterranean structures. These underground facilities may hide the secrets of the Endzones and the old world.

Endzone was a huge hit and Endzone 2 is looking equally fantastic.  Look out for the full release coming this July.
