Nightwing director says the DC movie is still alive

October 30, 2018 by Gary Collinson

It’s been over 20 months now since it was first announced that The LEGO Batman Movie director Chris McKay would be taking the reins on a live-action Nightwing movie for the DC Extended Universe.

Although McKay was quite active in teasing his plans in the early days following the news, things have certainly fallen silent in recent times; McKay has since signed on to direct a Dungeons & Dragons movie, and given that Dick Grayson is currently taking the lead in DC Universe’s live-action series Titans, one would certainly be forgiven for thinking that Warner Bros. has now cooled on the idea of a Nightwing film.

Well, according to McKay himself, fans shouldn’t give up hope just yet…

Warner Bros. and DC Films’ plans for the DC Extended Universe seem to be in a constant state of flux, so who knows whether Nightwing will ever see the light of day, but based on the above is seems we can safely rule out any movement over the next two or three years at least.
