Noomi Rapace says God could be the baddie in Prometheus 2

October 20, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Last month Ridley Scott gave an update on the status of Prometheus 2, during which he stated that the iconic Xenomorph from his 1979 sci-fi classic Alien was “cooked” and would be absent from the next film as he continues to take the series in another direction. Now Prometheus star Noomi Rapace has shared her thoughts on who could be the antagonist of the follow-up, telling MTV News that:

“God, maybe? Or the devil? I don’t know where [Ridley’s] gonna take us but I can’t wait to go there. I don’t know what we’re going to discover. Elizabeth Shaw wants to go to paradise. She can’t go to earth, there’s nothing left for her there really. She wants to go where [the Engineers] came from. She wants answers, she wants to know. I feel like I’m sharing her curiosity, but also her anger.”

As yet, there’s no word on a potential release date for Prometheus 2 and little else is known about the project, although Michael Fassbender is slated to return to the cast alongside Noomi Rapace.
