Quentin Tarantino’s latest film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is heading back into U.S. theaters this Friday with a re-release which, according to Deadline, will feature four never-before-seen scenes bookending the movie.
“Audiences have shown tremendous support for this movie, and we look forward to offering them another opportunity to see the film as it’s meant to be seen – in theaters on the big screen – with more sights and sounds of the sixties from Quentin Tarantino as an added treat,” said Adrian Smith, President of Domestic Distribution at Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group.

Following its premiere at Cannes earlier this year, Tarantino had suggested that he was “going to explore possibly putting something back in”, having chopped his initial assembly cut down from 4 hours and 20 minutes to the 2 hours and 41 minute version that was released this summer.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood takes place in Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood. The two lead characters are Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio), former star of a western TV series, and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt).
