Overkill’s The Walking Dead Beta starts on PC this October

September 9, 2018 by Andrew Newton

For those following the development of Overkill’s The Walking Dead, Starbreeze, Skybound Entertainment and 505 Games have announced that the PC-exclusive closed beta will begin on 9th October.  This news was revealed in a developer livestream hosted by Global Brand Director Almir Listo and Executive Producer Saul Gascon.

Access to the closed beta will be available for those who pre-order the Standard Edition of the game, however, those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will receive four closed beta keys that they can share with their friends.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead is a four player co-op multiplayer shooter that will see players join up and fight together on a variety of missions.  These missions will include finding other survivors, securing valuable supplies and, of course, staying alive by using stealth to avoid the dead, and not so dead, enemies.

There are four playable characters, each with their own unique abilities, skill trees and play styles.   All four characters also have their own roles to play in the squad, whether it be using stealth and tactics to evade enemies or using brute force and firepower to get rid of the rotting walker threat.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead  will arrive on PC on 6th November and on Xbox One and PS4 on 6th February in North America and 8th in Europe.
