Patrick Stewart cast as white supremacist in The Green Room

October 22, 2014 by Amy Richau

Patrick Stewart will be exploring his dark side soon as he has just been cast as a white supremacist in The Green Room. Jeremy Saulnier, whose last film was Blue Ruin (2014), will write and direct the film.

According to Variety, The Green Room “centers on a punk rock band finding themselves trapped in a secluded venue after stumbling upon a horrific act of violence. They then must fight for their lives against a gang of white power skinheads.” Anton Yelchin, Imogen Poots, Callum Turner, and Macon Blair are also attached to star.

The Green Room is scheduled to be released in 2015. Stewart, who was last seen on the screen in X-Men: Days of Future Past, will also appear in the 2015 comedy Stuck, which stars Jon Heder, James Roday, Cheryl Hines, and Gary Cole.
