Paul Feig promises “not to ruin your childhoods” with Ghostbusters reboot

January 2, 2015 by Gavin Logan

It seems like Bridemaids writer/director Paul Feig has been doing everything he can in recent weeks to help change the minds of those Ghostbuster reboot haters – of which it’s fair to say there are many. The all-female cast reboot was officially confirmed to be in development at the end of the summer with Feig attached and the likes of Sandra Bullock (The Heat), Melissa McCarthy (Mike & Molly), Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids), Rebel Wilson (Pitch Perfect) and more recently Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games) rumoured to have roles.

In a recent interview with Empire, Feig spoke about the vision he has for his version and discussed how different it would be from the original movies.

And now in a vain (and humorous) attempt at somehow getting more people onboard with the reboot, Feig tweeted this on New Years Eve:

Well are you convinced yet? No me neither, but you have to applaud his determination. Check back here for more news about the new Ghostbusters movie when it drops.
