Paul Rudd says Ant-Man casting is “all rumour”

December 12, 2013 by admin

Back in October it was reported that Edgar Wright and Marvel Studios had identified Paul Rudd (This Is 40) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises) as their pick for the role of Hank Pym in the long-awaited Ant-Man adaptation, before Rudd was “confirmed” as the frontrunner the following month.

Since then, it’s pretty much been taken as fact that Rudd is set to join the Phase Three film (alongside his I Love You, Man co-star Rashida Jones as Janet van Dyne, a.k.a. The Wasp), but according to Rudd, that’s not the case: “Oh, that’s all rumour man,” Rudd told Absolute Radio last night during the UK premiere of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. “There’s nothing I know, sorry.”

So, judging by Rudd’s response, he’s either not in contention, or really couldn’t be bothered talking about Ant-Man last night. What do you think? Would you like to see him as Hank Pym? Let us know in the comments below…
