Peaky Blinders VR game coming in 2020

April 26, 2019 by Andrew Newton

New immersive VR studio Maze Theory has announced they will be bringing the hugely popular Peaky Blinders to VR systems in spring 2020.  Peaky Blinders has been distributed to more than 180 countries and has gained multiple awards, including 2018 BAFTA for Best Drama Series and Best Drama at the 2019 National Television Awards.

Peaky Blinders VR will take players into the seedy criminal underworld of the urban street gang where they will have the opportunity to visit locations from the series, including Shelby’s illegal betting shop and The Garrison Pub and interact with characters to gain covert missions to defeat a rival gang.  Successfully carry out the missions and players will earn their cap as a fully fledged member of the gang.

Thanks to new cutting edge AI performance technology the characters will respond to every player’s gesture, movement, body language and voice and have actual human-like responses to provide a truly individual gaming experience.

Russell Harding, Executive Producer at Maze Theory, says: “This is Maze Theory’s first AI enhanced immersive drama and we are incredibly excited about the unrivalled and entirely new experience this gives players. They will literally be part of Peaky Blinders’ world and be able to interact with characters in ways no one can predict. Fans of the cult show have been calling out for this type of experience and we’re honoured to be giving it to them. This is future of entertainment!”

Look out for more news on Peaky Blinders VR coming soon.
