Pedro Pascal discusses the Red Viper in Game of Thrones season 4

January 27, 2014 by admin

We’ve already caught a glimpse of him battling The Mountain in the trailer for the fourth season of Game of Thrones, and now new cast addition Pedro Pascal (Graceland) has spoken about his character Prince Oberyn Martell, a.k.a. The Red Viper, in season four of HBO’s epic fantasy series.

“[The Red Viper] is a prince who doesn’t play by the rules,” Pascal tells  He is from the land of Dorne and he comes to King’s Landing to stir things up. He has a pretty specific agenda and he really doesn’t care what people think or also doesn’t care what consequence he might meet, you know. He doesn’t give a shit, he basically doesn’t give a crap… He gets around, he’s a lover and a fighter, he’s very much both.”

Game of Thrones season 4 gets underway on April 6th, with returning stars such as Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Jack Gleeson (Joffrey Baratheon), Stephen Dillane (Stannis Baratheon) and Carice van Houten (Melisandre) joined by a host of newcomers including Mark Gatiss (Sherlock) as Tycho Nestoris, Joseph Gatt (Banshee) as Styr, Roger Ashton-Griffiths (Gangs of New York) as Mace Tyrell, Indira Varma (Rome) as Ellaria Sand, Michiel Huisman (Nashville) as Daario Naharis, Dean Charles-Chapman (The White Queen) as Tommen Baratheon, and Icelandic strongman Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson as Gregor ‘The Mountain’ Clegane.
