Peter Dinklage to star in R-rated leprechaun comedy

October 9, 2013 by admin

Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning actor Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) is set to star in a new R-rated comedy from Paramount Pictures and screenwriter Andrew Dodge (Bad Words), The Hollywood Reporter has revealed.

According to the report, the project will make use of Dinklage’s fine acting ability play off Dinklage’s size, and tell the story of a guy who tells people he’s a real leprechaun. Apparently the as-yet-untitled film will have a similar tone to the 2003 comedy Bad Santa, “being deep in R-rated territory but wrapped around an emotional heart.”

Dinklage is set to reprise his acclaimed role as Tyrion Lannister when Game of Thrones returns for its fourth season in the Spring, while he’s also part of Bryan Singer’s superhero ensemble X-Men: Days of Future Past, where he will portray the main bad guy Bolivar Trask, creator of the mutant-killing Sentinels.
