Disney-Pixar has unveiled its third SparkShorts film, the 2D animated Kitbull, which is directed by Rosana Sullivan and reveals an unlikely connection that sparks between two creatures: a fiercely independent stray kitten and a pit bull. Together, they experience friendship for the first time.

Pixar’s SparkShorts initiative is designed to discover new storytellers, explore new storytelling techniques, and experiment with new production workflows, allowing Pixar’s artists to unlock their potential and develop their inventive filmmaking approaches on a smaller scale than traditional Pixar projects.
Kitbull is the third of Pixar’s SparkShorts to be released online after Purl and Smash and Grab. The next three – titled Float, Loop and Wind – are set to debut on the Disney+ streaming service later this year.
