Potential new details on Batman vs. Superman

January 5, 2014 by admin

Over at Batman-on-Film (via Comic Book Therapy), a few rumoured tidbits of information concerning the plot of the Man of Steel sequel Batman vs. Superman have appeared. Of course, these are just rumours but in recent years the site has hit the nail on the head with information concerning The Dark Knight. Most interesting is the expectation that we’ll have our first look at Ben Affleck in costume as Batman early 2014, right around the time of filming in February. Highlights of the article include…

-No Batman villains will be included.
-The film is a true Man of Steel sequel and not a secret Justice League film.
-Wonder Woman could have a “cameo plus” type role similar to Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow in Iron Man 2.
-Jason Momoa will NOT be Martian Manhunter or Aquaman. Neither character is in the film.
-We will get another Superman sequel without any other DC characters sharing the screen.

Now, until Zack Snyder tells us anything, these must be seen simply as speculation, but would you be happy with the above? Let us know in the comments below…

Batman vs. Superman is set for release on July 17th, 2015 with Ben Affleck joined in the cast by Henry Cavill (Clark Kent / Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman).
