Prime Video previews The Rig season 2 with trailer and images

December 8, 2024 by Amie Cranswick

Prime Video has shared a trailer for the second season of the supernatural thriller season The Rig which sees the surviving crew members of the Kinloch Bravo airlifted to a secret offshore facility, deep in the Arctic Circle, where they are faced with new threats.

Season 2 sees the return of Iain Glenn, Martin Compston, Emily Hampshire, and Owen Teale alongside series newcomers Ross Anderson, Phil McKee, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Johannes Roaldsen Fürst, and Alice Krige. Watch the trailer below…

Following the devastating tsunami that destroyed the Kinloch Bravo, season two sees the surviving crew airlifted to a new secret offshore facility called the Stac, nestled deep in the extraordinary and deadly landscapes of the Arctic Circle.

At the Stac, the trapped crew deal with the emotional and physical fallout of the tsunami and contend with swirling conspiracies, corporate conflicts, and new threats from the dark depths of the world’s oceans. This six-part series continues to explore global themes, takes audiences to spectacular new environments and delves into the frontiers of cutting-edge ocean technology, including the controversial world of deep-sea mining.

The Rig season 2 arrives on Prime Video on January 2nd.
