Production wraps on Bill & Ted Face the Music

August 29, 2019 by Amie Cranswick

After years of rumour and speculation, 2019 brought us the most bodacious news that the Wyld Stallyns are reforming for another excellent adventure, with Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves reprising their roles as Bill S. Preston, Esq. and Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan for the long-awaited third entry in the Bill & Ted film series.

Filming kicked off in June, and now screenwriter Ed Solomon has announced on social media that production has wrapped on the sequel, titled Bill & Ted Face the Music, as well as giving us our first look at the film’s logo:

Bill & Ted Face the Music “will see the duo long past their days as time-traveling teenagers and now weighed down by middle age and the responsibilities of family. They’ve written thousands of tunes, but they have yet to write a good one, much less the greatest song ever written. With the fabric of time and space tearing around them, a visitor from the future warns our heroes that only their song can save life as we know it. Out of luck and fresh out of inspiration, Bill and Ted set out on a time travel adventure to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe. Together with the aid of their daughters, a new crop of historical figures and some sympathetic music legends, they find much, much more than just a song.”

Bill & Ted Face the Music is set for release on August 21st 2020 and sees Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves reprising their roles as Bill & Ted, while William Sadler (The Grim Reaper), Amy Stoch (Missy) and Hal Landon Jr. (Captain Logan) also return to their roles. New additions to the cast include Samara Weaving (The Babysitter), Brigette Lundy-Paine (Atypical), Beck Bennett (Saturday Night Live), Jayma Mays (Glee), Erinn Hayes (Children’s Hospital), Jillian Bell (Rough Night), Kid Cudi (Need for Speed), Kirsten Schaal (30 Rock) and Holland Taylor (Legally Blonde).
