Ray Fisher didn’t know about Cyborg solo movie until the official announcement from Warner Bros.

October 21, 2014 by Thomas Roach

Ray Fisher – who is set to portray Victor Stone, a.k.a. Cyborg in the DC movie universe – was just as surprised as fans when it was announced there would be a Cyborg standalone film in 2020. The actor found out at the same time the fans when Warner Bros. and DC announced their film line up last week.

Fisher told Entertainment Weekly: “I didn’t know the extent to which DC and WB had planned on taking my character, when I signed on, I just wanted to be part of this world. But that specific information, I found out then and there. I didn’t think I’d be getting my own stand-alone film.”

Newcomer Fisher will first be seen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and will likely appear in both Justice League movies before taking the lead of his own movie in 2020.

So look out for Fisher in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice with Zack Snyder directing a cast that includes returning Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Harry Lennix (General Swanwick) alongside Ben Affleck (Argo) as Batman, Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6) as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg (Now You See Me) as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons (The Borgias) as Alfred Pennyworth and Holly Hunter (The Piano), Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire), Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine), Scoot McNairy (Argo) and Jena Malone (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
