Ridley Scott reveals Prometheus 2 will be titled Alien: Paradise Lost

September 24, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Yesterday we heard some rumours about the possible title for Blade Runner 2, and now director Ridley Scott has officially announced to HeyUGuys that Prometheus 2 will be called Alien: Paradise Lost.

Scott went on to state that the title for the follow-up to the 2012 sci-fi and quasi-Alien prequel has been taken from Milton’s epic poem Paradise Lost, which details the Biblical story of the Fall of Man.

Asked for details on why he’s chosen that title, Scott responded that: “Well, because we’re heading back to why and how and when the beast was invented. We’ll go back into the back door of the very first Alien that I did thirty years ago.”

The news comes hot on the heels of comments from Scott suggesting that he has plans for three more Prometheus movies.

What do you make of the title Alien: Paradise Lost? Let us know in the comments below…
