Rumored Fantastic Four cast includes Adam Driver, Margot Robbie, and Daveed Diggs

May 28, 2023 by EJ Moreno

The Fantastic Four are heading to the MCU soon, but we still don’t know who will play the iconic team. That is until now…

Scoopers are all abuzz with some casting rumors as we head near production. It seems like Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios have found their Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing.

Per prominent scooper MyTimeToShineHello, the reported cast includes Adam Driver as Reed Richards, Margot Robbie as Sue Storm-Richards, Paul Mescal as Johnny Storm, and Daveed Diggs as Ben Grimm.

Driver and Robbie have been long rumored for their respective roles; Adam Driver as Reed Richards was reported as early as October 2022. The Margot Robbie rumors have picked up steam recently, and it seems like the potential casting has come more than possible. She’ll go from the iconic DC character Harley Quinn to one of the OG ladies of Marvel.

As for Mescal & Diggs, that’s where things are getting more interesting. Some scoopers have noted Mescal’s potential role in Fantastic Four, but the enigmatic Oscar-nominated actor has remained mum.

Looking at Daveed Digg’s role in the project, some have noted: “A star of an upcoming Disney movie would star in Marvel’s Fantastic Four.” Jeff Sneider of the Hot Mic podcast seemed to back up this story. The Little Mermaid actor could be that casting, and he’ll likely offer a voice-over in a mocap or VFX-heavy performance.

WandaVision’s Matt Shakman will helm this long-awaited Fantastic Four film. Josh Friedman will pen the script, reworking the project initially from Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer.

There’s no official confirmation on this casting news at the time of writing.

Fantastic Four is set for release on February 14th, 2025.
