Runescape’s Elder God Wars story continues with City of Senntisten

June 22, 2021 by Andrew Newton

The next installment of Runescape’s year-long Elder God Wars story arc is now live and ready for players on both PC and mobile.  The City of Senntisten brings a brand new map, more challenges and powerful rewards to those who venture to this underground city with its hidden and forgotten dangers.

The year-long saga that followed Ariane’s vision that war is coming to Gielinor is drawing closer to its conclusion and the City of Senntisten is the final quest ahead of that foreseen wars start.  Players will need to recruit allies and use their Archeology skill to use to gain entry to the city.

Once the home of Zaros, the City of Senntisten is now home to dark forces and dangers lurk around every corner of this forgotten realm.  Players will need to exercise caution as they explore the Cathedral and its surrounding areas, and it will be essential to prepare defences around the area to prepare for the oncoming waves of enemies that will attack.

There’s a wealth of powerful rewards for those who succeed, including new Ancient Magick spells, an upgrade to the Pontifex Observation Ring, XP in Slayer and Archaeology skills plus much more.

In order to take part in the City of Senntisten mission, players must have their Slayer and Archaeology skills at 75 and 74, respectively, and have completed the previous quests in the arc; Azzanadra’s Quest and Battle of Monolith.

“Over the coming months, the fate of Gielinor will be decided as players experience four fronts on the battlefield as the Elder Gods begin their assault…..  The Elder God Wars really is an epic series and we’re proud to bring it to players as RuneScape celebrates its 20th anniversary since launch. These are fantastic times for the game; we proud to see players are playing more than ever before, membership is at its highest level in six years, we’ve brought it to mobile, and welcomed so many new citizens to Gielinor. There really is no better time to play RuneScape.”

The City of Senntisten is now open to those brave enough to face the horrors within.
