Netflix has released the first trailer for Roommates, a coming-of-age comedy starring Sadie Sandler (Happy Gilmore 2) and Chloe East (Heretic) as two college roommates whose new relationship quickly turns sour.
Directed by Chandler Levack (Mile End Kicks) from a script by Jimmy Fowlie and Ceara Jane O’Sullivan, this marks Sandler’s first leading role after previously starring in supporting roles in several of her father Adam Sandler’s films like Happy Gilmore 2, You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah and Jay Kelly. When a hopeful, naive college freshman, Devon (Sadie Sandler), asks the cool and confident Celeste (Chloe East) to be her roommate, a blossoming friendship spirals into a war of passive aggression.
The cast also includes Billy Bryk, Sarah Sherman, Martin Herlihy, Josh Segarra, Carol Kane, Janeane Garofalo, Aidan Langford, Bella Murphy, Jaya Harper, Storm Reid, Ivy Wolk, Bailee Madison, Natasha Lyonne and Nick Kroll.
Roommates will release on Netflix April 17th.
