Sam Claflin to hunt Jamie Dornan in IRA thriller Borderland

February 17, 2018 by Amie Cranswick

IMR International has announced that Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey) and Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) have signed on to star in the action thriller Borderland.

Directed by Brian Kirk (Luther, Game of Thrones) by a script by Ronan Bennett (Public Enemies), the film takes place in the 1970s and sees Dornan as a member of the IRA, whose wife is accidentally killed in Ireland. As he searches for his wife’s killer, he then takes over an IRA cell in London, where his mission is to cause as much chaos and destruction as possible. However, an SAS captain, played by Claflin, is hot on his trail.

Both actors can currently be seen in cinemas, with Dornan starring in the final chapter of the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, Fifty Shades Freed, and Claflin appearing in the World War I drama Journey’s End.
