Saw reboot Spiral gets its first teaser trailer and poster

February 5, 2020 by Matt Rodgers

The news that Chris Rock was to executive produce a new installment of the Saw franchise had every one sit up and take notice, which is something you probably hadn’t expected as the law-of-diminishing returns had long since taken over the horror series.

Well, now it’s almost upon us, and not only have Lionsgate released an effectively moody poster, but they’ve also revealed the title Spiral: From the Book of Saw, and a creepy new trailer, which you can watch below…

A sadistic mastermind unleashes a twisted form of justice in SPIRAL, the terrifying new chapter from the book of SAW. Working in the shadow of an esteemed police veteran (Samuel L. Jackson), brash Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner (Max Minghella) take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the center of the killer’s morbid game.

Starring Chris Rock, Samuel L. Jackson, Max Minghella, and Marisol Nichols, the 9th entry in the saga finds Darren Lynn Bousman returning to the world of Jigsaw having directed Saw II, Saw III, and Saw IV.

Spiral: From the Book of Saw is due for release on May 15th 2020. Let us know what you think of the trailer using the  comments section below, or head over to our Twitter page to continue the discussion…
