Sci-fi horror RPG Dolmen launches on PC and consoles

May 20, 2022 by Andrew Newton

Prime Matter and developer Massive Work Studio have announced the release of their sci-fi horror RPG Dolmen on Xbox One and X/S consoles, Playstation 4 and 5 and PC.  This third person RPG takes players into the far future where humans have expanded out into the galaxy and are colonising alien worlds. Watch the new launch trailer below to see what this horrifying future has in store…

In Dolmen, mankind’s expansion into the stars has led them to a hostile alien world known as Revion Prime where a crystal (the titular Dolmen) with unique properties has been discovered. It is suspected that this newly discovered crystal has the ability for people to interact between realities and if true has great potential for our species. To confirm the truth about these mysterious crystals, players will journey to this hostile planet to gain samples of the Dolmen and uncover its secrets.

The world of Revion Prime is waiting to be explored but many hostile alien creatures will make this difficult, as such, players will have access to various melee and ranged weapons with which to use to defend themselves.  Ranged weaponry uses energy and energy management is essential for survival, especially as there is an ‘Energy Mode’ that can be activated and imbues melee weapons with elemental status effects that can take advantage of enemy’s weaknesses.

As well as the deadly planet itself, players will also need to uncover the truth surrounding corrupt corporations, unknown realities and a mysterious alien species.

Dolmen is challenging players to survive now on PC and consoles.
