FOX has announced that it has renewed Seth MacFarlane’s science fiction comedy-drama series The Orville for a third season,.
The show, inspired by Star Trek, takes place in the 25th century and follows the crew of the U.S.S. Orville, led by MacFarlane’s Captain Ed Mercer and his ex-wife and first officer Commander Kelly Grayson (Adrianne Palicki), as it embarks on various missions on behalf of the PLanetary Union.
