Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne are still Platonic in season 2 trailer

July 18, 2025 by Ricky Church

Apple TV+ has released the trailer for the upcoming second season of Platonic, its comedy series starring Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne as two best friends navigating their adult lives amid the chaos surrounding their families and friends.

Platonic follows Byrne’s Sylvia and Rogen’s Will as a pair of former best friends who reconnect after a long rift, reigniting their codependent relationship as they go through midlife crises  and the drama it creates within their families.

The second season will focus on “everyone’s favorite pair of best friends (Rogen and Byrne) as they contend with new midlife hurdles, including work, weddings and partners in crises. The duo tries their best to be each other’s rock – but sometimes rocks break things.”

Platonic is created, written and directed by Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco. Alongside Rogen and Byrne, Platonic stars Luke Macfarlane, Tre Hale and Carla Gallo, while joining the series for season two are Aidy Bryant (Shrill), Kyle Mooney (Y2K) and Beck Bennett (Superman). Check out the trailer here…

Platonic Season 2 will premiere August 6th on Apple TV+.
